Our Services
As highly experienced certified and registered genetic counsellors, we offer support across a broad range of genetic conditions and clinical situations.
All appointments are via telehealth and after hours appointments are available.
A referral is not required for the initial appointment, but may be required depending on testing initiated. Please contact us to discuss further or book your appointment online. We will get back to you by email or phone for a short intake call to confirm that our services are the the right fit for your needs.
“Thank you so much for your kindness, empathy and care this morning. We feel so blessed to be under your care. We walked away today feeling so supported.”
Reproductive genetic counselling
We support individuals and couples who are planning a pregnancy or are currently pregnant. This may include discussing carrier screening, prenatal testing, family history concerns, or navigating complex results.
Carrier screening either pre-conception or early in pregnancy can help you understand your chance as a couple of having a child with a genetic condition. We can guide you through the screening and testing options, whether or not you have a known family history of a genetic condition.
If you have received an increased chance result from maternal serum screening or non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT), we can help you understand your results and guide you through next steps in your pregnancy journey.
If you have a family history of a genetic condition, or you or your partner have a genetic condition, we can discuss what this could mean for your future family and support you to make decisions that are right for you.
Paediatric genetic counselling
We provide support to families following a child’s diagnosis of a genetic condition, or when genetic testing has not yet identified a cause for a child’s health or developmental concerns. We recognise how challenging and uncertain this time can be and we are here to help you understand the information, explore options and feel supported.
Adult genetic counselling
If you have a personal or family history of a genetic condition - such as cancer, heart disease, or a neurological disorder - we can help you understand your risk, explore testing options, and make informed decisions about your health.
We provide expert pre and post test counselling to ensure you are adequately supported through the testing process. We can arrange the testing for you and help you understand what the results mean for you, your family members and your future children.
Predictive testing - If you’re considering genetic testing for a condition that runs in your family, we can help you understand what the results may mean, how they could impact your health and future planning, and whether testing is the right choice for you.
Support following genetic test results
Whether you’ve recently received unexpected or difficult results - or simply need help understanding what your results mean - we offer a space to talk through the information and what it means for you and your family, emotionally and practically.
